Putin really at his residence? New theory emerges
Anti-drone nets near Putin’s Valdai residence are an attempt at deception. Expert Dmytro Dovhopolyi explained why the barriers make no sense and where the dictator might actually be hiding.

Anti-drone nets installed around Vladimir Putin’s residence in Valdai may be nothing more than a decoy intended to distract attention from his actual whereabouts.
The claim was made on Kyiv24 TV by Dmytro Dovhopolyi, a historian, American studies expert and former UN staff member who served from 1987 to 2019.
According to the expert, fear is a defining trait of any dictator. Therefore, the appearance of the nets in Valdai most likely indicates that Putin is not there.
Dovhopolyi argued that the Russian president is deliberately creating the illusion of his presence in order to mislead others.
«Putin is a master of creating an alternative reality, and what my colleague Ihor said about the absolute pointlessness of these nets is true. I completely agree. Such nets serve only one purpose: to mislead a potential attacker. I believe he could be hiding anywhere. Reports have suggested that he has 12 residences, and no one knows where he is right now,» Dovhopolyi said.
