The National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine commented on Russia's statements regarding international law in the context of the U.S. strike on Iran, reminding that Russia itself grossly violated this norm against Ukraine.

This was stated by Andriy Kovalenko, Head of the NSDC's Center for Countering Disinformation.

According to the cynical and deceitful Russians, the U.S. strikes on the territory of "sovereign Iran" are a "violation of international law."

"Firstly, it’s laughable that this is the only way Russia can "help" Iran. Secondly, Russia was the first to start this against Ukraine," Kovalenko noted.

He added that Russia, of course, understands it has no guarantees against a "Tomahawk." "And then it’s just a matter of luck," the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation concluded ironically.
