The Kremlin hysterically claimed a war "openly declared" on Russia by Western countries, which are allegedly using the Ukrainian state as a "geopolitical battering ram."
These remarks were made by Sergey Lavrov, the Foreign Minister of the aggressor state, during a meeting with heads of Russian non-profit organizations, as reported by by "RIA Novosti" propagandists.
Russia's top diplomat cynically described "Western expansion" on the Eurasian continent as a "powerful destabilizing factor," specifically targeting regions where Russia has historically maintained "strong influence and traditional legitimate interests."
"An open war has been declared against the obsessive drive to "inflict a strategic defeat on Russia," a slogan that has burst into the open in recent years," Lavrov stated hysterically.
Lavrov also mentioned Ukraine—against which the Kremlin has been waging a war of aggression for five years — calling our state a "spearhead" that the West is supposedly using against Russia, and a "geopolitical battering ram."
Ultimately, Lavrov’s statement served as a rehash of standard Kremlin narratives regarding the West and Ukraine, echoing talking points previously established by Vladimir Putin.
