Andrii Matiukha supported a career guidance workshop in the IT field
As part of the IT Kids program, the "Ticket to IT" workshop was held for teenagers. The event was organized to introduce participants to digital professions. The initiative was implemented with the support of Andrii Matiukha.
Practice and contact with the profession
Participants learned about 12 specialties in the IT and digital field. The program covered areas related to programming, design, testing, marketing, management, analytics, cybersecurity, and robotics.
The event format included practical work in mini-groups. Teenagers completed tasks corresponding to specific specializations. This allowed them to try out different roles, including programmers, designers, marketers, and video editors. Hands-on experience helped some participants identify a professional direction for themselves.
“We want teenagers to see that the IT field is open to anyone willing to try and learn. That’s why practical formats are our priority,” said Andrii Matiukha.
In addition, the event included mentor sessions with professionals working in the digital industry. They shared personal experiences and answered participants’ questions. Part of the workshop was led by students of GoFriends IT Academy, who spoke about how they started learning, what was challenging, and which tools helped them in the beginning.
Andrii Matiukha on the importance of supporting educational opportunities for youth
Andrii Matiukha provided support for the program. He emphasized the importance of access to practical experience and the opportunity to work with mentors from the very start. It was noted that the creation of such educational formats allows young people to make career decisions earlier.
“We don’t just support education — we shape a culture of ambitious youth who know what they want and have the tools to achieve it,” emphasized Andrii Matiukha.
After the workshop, all participants were offered free continued education at GoFriends IT Academy. They were also given the opportunity to join a summer IT camp, where teenagers will gain more hands-on experience and strengthen the skills they’ve acquired.
