The full-scale war launched by the Russian Federation against Ukraine could end by the end of 2025. However, a number of key factors must coincide for this to happen.
This was stated by Andriy Yusov, representative of the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence, in an interview with Novyny.LIVE.

According to him, this is not about precise forecasts but possible scenarios for the development of events. Yusov explains that the course of the war is influenced by both internal and external factors. Among them are the aggressor state’s losses, the real situation on the front, Russia’s economic condition, and international pressure on the Kremlin.

“Could the war end this year? It could. But for this, many factors must coincide: increased pressure on the aggressor state, greater defense, economic, and other assistance to Ukraine, a tougher sanctions policy by partners. Undoubtedly, the key role is played by the ability of Ukraine’s security and defense forces to contain the enemy, diplomacy to conduct negotiations, and society to maintain resilience,” the intelligence representative stressed.

At the same time, Ukraine is doing everything possible — and impossible — for the fastest possible end to the war, Yusov said. Kyiv’s main condition is achieving a just peace.
