The next six months could indeed become a turning point in the war if Ukraine intensifies drone strikes on Russian resources during the summer and early autumn.
Serhii Bratchuk, a military expert and spokesman for the Ukrainian Volunteer Army, stated this on Kyiv 24.
«In my view, Ukraine has begun to utilize this timeframe, and these opportunities have genuinely emerged for us. I want to recall a statement from last December when Third Corps commander General Biletskyi said that Russia was gradually reaching a level of losses that it would feel acutely next year, in 2026. Today you see these statements being confirmed,» Bratchuk noted.
In his opinion, stepping up strikes on Russian territory and the occupied territories throughout the summer and autumn will directly influence the situation on the battlefield.
«Ukraine is not merely depleting the enemy — today we have our active defense and asymmetric responses. We are working very intensively to destroy the resource capabilities of the Russian Federation, which directly impacts the battlefield. That means logistics… Our drones are doing incredibly crucial work today. Therefore, it is obvious that this window — the summer period, the beginning of autumn at least, and slightly beyond, possibly until the end of the year — represents our opportunity, provided we scale up these strikes,» the expert said.
