On Tuesday, February 17, Sumy and the region suffered a series of Russian drone strikes, resulting in injuries.

This was reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration and the local outlet Kordon Media.

After 10 a.m., Russian drones attacked the center of Sumy for several hours. Some of the enemy drones were shot down.

The attacks damaged apartment buildings and other structures, shattering hundreds of windows and damaging facades and roofs.

Eleven people were reported injured. A 28-year-old woman remains in hospital, while the others are treated on an outpatient basis.

The enemy also launched intense strikes on the Bilopillia community in the Sumy region. Four civilians were injured. Two men, aged 39 and 52, were hospitalized. According to Kordon, they work for a heating company and had been repairing damage from previous strikes, as parts of the city were without heating. Repair work was suspended due to the attack and the risk of further strikes.
