Mykolaiv hit for second time in a day: Attack details

Mykolaiv has been hit by a second wave of Russian "Shahed" drones today. Residential buildings are damaged, and fires have broken out across the city.

Strike on Mykolaiv, April 30.

Russian forces once again attacked Mykolaiv with drones on the evening of April 30, Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych said.

The strike targeted the private sector, causing significant damage and igniting a blaze.

"A "Shahed" attack on the city has damaged a residence and sparked a fire. All emergency services are on-site. As of now, no casualties have been reported," said Vitaliy Kim, Head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration.

Earlier the same day, Russian forces also attacked Mykolaiv with a drone. A multi-story residential building, a two-story private house and a car were damaged in the strike.

"Thank God it wasn't a direct hit, because that would have been terrifying. Everyone is alive, the animals are safe, and no one here was even scratched. The car is wrecked, the house and roof are badly damaged, but the main thing is that we all survived," Olena, whose relatives' home was hit, told Suspilne.
