Chief of Ukraine’s Defence Intelligence Kyrylo Budanov declared: “The old world is shattered, it has collapsed, it is gone.”

He made this statement during the “viStoimo” forum, Novyny.Live reports.

Budanov stressed that the anniversary of the Budapest Memorandum — the deal in which Ukraine surrendered its nuclear arsenal in exchange for security guarantees — is the clearest proof of his words.

"Today marks the anniversary of the Budapest Memorandum. And here’s what I want to say: the old world is broken. It has collapsed, it no longer exists. You can look at it in different ways — good or bad — but the fact remains: it is gone. The laws that once existed are gone too. The old rules cannot and will not work. And Budapest, this anniversary of the Memorandum, is nothing less than direct confirmation of my words," Budanov asserted.
