Polish consulate damaged in Odesa strike — Details

The building of the Polish consulate was damaged during a nighttime bombardment by Russian forces.

In Odesa, the building of the Consulate General of Poland was damaged as a result of another Russian attack on the city.

This was reported by Poland’s foreign ministry spokesperson Maciej Wewiór on the social media platform X.

According to him, the strike occurred during a large-scale nighttime shelling of Odesa. The blast wave and debris damaged the premises of the Polish consulate, but staff were not injured and are safe.

«Another night of Russian terror. The Polish consulate in Odesa was damaged as a result of a night-time bombardment. None of our staff were injured, ” Wewiór said.

The Polish foreign ministry spokesperson also thanked diplomatic service staff who continue to work in Ukraine under conditions of a constant threat.

Poland’s foreign ministry did not provide details on the nature of the damage to the building or the extent of the losses.
