Dmytro Zhmailo, executive director of the Ukrainian Centre for Security and Cooperation, said in an interview with 24 Kanal, that Russia is ramping up drone production to sustain round-the-clock air raid alerts in Ukraine.

According to the expert, data from Ukraine’s Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi indicate that Russia is already producing more than 400 «Shahed» drones of various modifications per day. However, he said Moscow’s ultimate goal is to carry out far more massive strikes.

«The enemy clearly aims to launch up to 1,000 „Shahed“ drones during a single air raid. They have not reached that level yet because they lack the necessary capabilities, ” Zhmailo said.

He explained that such plans are constrained by the limited number of launch platforms.

«They lack fixed launch sites and have not expanded mobile launch units, from which „Shaheds“ are fired from pickups or truck beds, ” he added.

Zhmailo also noted that missile production is increasing, supported by technical assistance from China. According to him, Beijing is supplying Russia with equipment, technology, and specialists to improve production processes.

«The enemy will attempt to establish round-the-clock air raid alerts without pausing attacks. They have not done so yet due to limited capacity, ” the executive director of the Ukrainian Centre for Security and Cooperation said.
