The aftermath of the attack

“The city is under attack. Fallen UAVs have sparked fires in private residences. Casualties are currently being verified. One "Shahed" drone detonated near a high-rise building, shattering windows and causing structural damage. No casualties have been reported at that specific site so far,” he stated.

Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the Regional Military Administration, specified that the city was hit in several locations. The enemy targeted civilian infrastructure and residential areas, damaging private homes, apartment blocks, civilian vehicles, and a church.

“Over the past 24 hours, strikes were also recorded in the Novgorod-Siverskyi community, the Horodnia and Ripky communities of the Chernihiv district, and the Borzna community in the Nizhyn district. Ordinary homes and civilian cars were similarly damaged. Firefighters worked through the night to extinguish the blazes. In the Horodnia region, one person was treated for acute stress reaction,” Chaus added.
