Russia attacked two foreign ships with drones in the Black Sea, wounding a crew member aboard a tanker under the Panamanian flag.

The information was reported by Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine — Minister for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine Oleksii Kuleba.

According to Kuleba, an enemy drone hit a tanker that was waiting to enter port to load vegetable oil, causing a fire on board.

«Unfortunately, one crew member was wounded and is now receiving the necessary assistance. Maritime rescue services are already on site and the fire on board is being put out, ” the deputy prime minister said.

Head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration Oleh Kiper, also reported the incident. He said a second attack struck a dry cargo ship flying the San Marino flag as it was leaving port with a cargo of corn. A fire broke out on the vessel but was quickly contained by rescuers. No one was injured on the dry cargo ship and it is continuing its voyage.

Kiper said the attacks once again demonstrated Moscow’s gross violation of international humanitarian law.

«The enemy has attacked civilian vessels for the second time in the past week. Russia is deliberately targeting shipping, posing a threat to global food security, ” he said.
