"Shaheds"

On Thursday, January 29, Russian occupying forces struck civilian infrastructure in the city of Kryvyi Rih with "Shahed"-type drones. One person was killed, according to Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the city’s Defense Council.

“The enemy attacked residential areas of our city with "Shahed" drones in two locations,” Vilkul said.

He later reported three people were injured — two women and a man. Vilkul added that by 5:24 p.m. the fires had been put out and emergency crews were clearing debris. An elderly woman was found dead during the operation.

“Construction materials will be delivered to damaged private homes. From tomorrow morning, district commissions will carry out inspections to assess the damage and provide financial assistance to residents,” Vilkul said.

He added that authorities were not planning to set up emergency coordination centers in the city.
