On Friday, May 1, Russia launched a massive drone strike on Ternopil. Hits occurred at industrial and infrastructure sites. Numerous injuries reported.

City authorities reported over 50 «Shahed» drones over Ternopil today. Around 20 exploded, with strikes recorded across the city.
The aftermath of the attack on Ternopil
Mayor Serhii Nadal warned of dangerous debris across the city. Ternopil Regional Military Administration Head Taras Pastukh confirmed the presence of unexploded aerial targets in the regional center.
The regional prosecutor’s office reported strikes on the Ternopil industrial zone, damaging a shopping mall, warehouses, and other production facilities.
«A massive air attack involving over 20 enemy UAVs hit Ternopil. The primary targets were sites in the regional center’s industrial zone,» the statement reads.
Casualties
At least ten people were reported injured as of 3:30 p.m., with no fatalities reported so far. Several of the wounded are in serious condition. All victims are receiving medical care.
Power outages
The attack left parts of Ternopil without electricity after damaging local power infrastructure, the regional energy provider said. Repair crews have been dispatched and are working to restore supply.
City officials reported outages in parts of the Canada, Center, Novyi Svit, Staryi Park neighborhoods, as well as sections of the Sonyachnyi residential area.
