Russia struck Ukraine's gas facilities: Naftogaz reports on consequences

Destruction occured as a result of another Russian attack on Ukraine's gas production infrastructure.

Russia struck Ukrainian gas facilities

On the night of July 22, Russia carried out another massive attack using kamikaze drones on Ukraine's gas infrastructure.

Director of the Naftogaz Group Serhiy Koretsky shared this in a post on his Facebook page.

According to him, Russian forces targeted dozens of drones at gas production facilities belonging to Naftogaz, resulting in destruction. Emergency crews are currently working on-site to address the aftermath.

"This is yet another massive shelling of gas production infrastructure. Such attacks occur regularly. These facilities have no military significance. This is purely an act of terrorism," Koretsky stated.

He emphasized that the goal of Russian attacks is to weaken Ukraine, disrupt preparations for the heating season, and create risks for gas supplies to the population during the winter period.

Despite the enemy strikes, Naftogaz specialists continue efforts to restore damaged facilities. The company urges Ukrainians to remain calm and assures that the situation is under control.
