Russian forces attacked the railway in Chernihiv with a drone in the morning of October 17. Damage was recorded, and the locomotive engineer was injured.
This was reported by the Chernihiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
According to investigation data, around 9:45 a.m., Russian forces targeted the transport infrastructure in Chernihiv with an unmanned aerial vehicle. Due to the attack, the locomotive engineer sustained shrapnel wounds, and rolling stock was damaged.
Prosecutors, together with SSU and police investigators, are taking all measures to document the consequences of the Russian war crime. A pretrial investigation has been launched in a criminal proceeding regarding the fact of the war crime.
