Shahed drone attack on Kharkiv: First injuries reported

Several people have been injured in a kamikaze drone attack on Kharkiv. New strikes have also been reported.

As a result of a massive drone attack on Kharkiv during the day on April 22, three people have been injured so far.

This was reported by Mayor Ihor Terekhov and Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Synehubov.

"There is information about one injured person," the mayor said in a brief statement.

"According to preliminary information, one person was wounded as a result of a drone strike," the head of the regional administration added.

Earlier, Terekhov reported multiple drone strikes on the city, with several impacts occurring in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv.

Following the initial injury report, the mayor later confirmed another strike on the city.

Eventually, he stated that the number of injured had risen to three.

According to preliminary estimates, Kharkiv was hit by 12 strikes. Fires broke out at several of the impact sites.
