The U.S. peace plan does not limit Kyiv regarding mobilization, while an army of 800,000 in peacetime is sufficient to guarantee the country’s security.

This was stated by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, in an interview with «24 Kanal.»

Commenting on the details of American peace initiatives, the Commander-in-Chief stressed that the document does not place any restrictions on forming reserves. He noted that a force of 800,000 personnel will allow Ukraine not only to defend itself but also to maintain a sustainable mobilization process if required.

«This number truly ensures that Ukraine can respond in case of renewed Russian military aggression. It also guarantees a planned mobilization process. That is, we are not constrained in mobilization. All our mobilization characteristics and capabilities remain intact, ” he stressed.

The Commander-in-Chief outlined details of the negotiation process, noting that initial proposals included a more substantial reduction of the Armed Forces. Specifically, partners proposed limiting the army to 600,000 personnel. However, the final number of 800,000, the general pointed out, now fully corresponds to Ukraine’s requirements.
