Russia is gearing up for intensified military operations this winter as it aims to continue the war and seize more Ukrainian territory.

This was said by Vadym Skibitskyi, Deputy Head of Ukraine’s Defence Intelligence, as reported by Novyny.LIVE.

«In particular, General Kyrylo Budanov, Chief of the Defence Intelligence, had hoped back in February that the war could end by late 2025, ” Skibitskyi said.

He explained that while there had indeed been certain preconditions for ending the war in 2025, those plans are now outdated.

«Real negotiations for a genuine end to the war may become possible in 2026. We’ll see how effectively our politicians work toward that goal, ” Skibitskyi said.
