Kupiansk is primarily the most important logistics hub for the Russians, which is why the enemy is fighting so hard for the city.
Military analyst Oleksandr Shulman expressed this view to Kyiv 24.
He recalled that the Russian command had already reported to Putin three times on taking the city, but each time something went «wrong.»
«Clearing of the centre of Kupiansk from remnants of groups, that broke through, is currently underway, while on the outskirts our forces are successfully conducting clearing operations against the occupiers, ” the military analyst said.
Shulman recalled that Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi station is a key logistics hub. Capturing the city would allow the enemy to significantly ease the supply of ammunition and fuel by rail, which is critical for their offensive.
