Against the backdrop of negotiations in Turkey, Russian propaganda has intensified its information pressure regarding the situation on the Ukrainian-Hungarian border.

This was reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine.

In particular, disinformation is being spread about alleged downing of Ukrainian drones or the deployment of Hungarian military equipment and aircraft to the Ukrainian border.

The State Border Guard Service and the Center for Countering Disinformation assure that the situation on the Ukrainian-Hungarian border remains calm, with no incidents recorded.

According to the Center, by spreading such disinformation, Russian propaganda is trying to divert the attention of the international community from its own sabotage of the negotiation process in Istanbul.

“Creating a false impression of a potential escalation on the Ukrainian-Hungarian border is aimed at destabilizing the information space and sowing panic among the population,” the statement reads.
