The main goal of Russian president Vladimir Putin is to trigger a humanitarian catastrophe in Ukraine during the cold season.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this during his meeting with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Downing Street.
The Ukrainian leader endorsed Keir Starmer’s stance, noting that Moscow is showing no intention of halting hostilities. Evidence of this, he said, lies in Russia’s deliberate strikes designed to cripple Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
Zelenskyy underscored the importance of international support: “We are not alone in this situation… from the very beginning of the war, but especially now.”
