Drones destroyed an energy facility: Ternopil left without power
Electricity supply partially restored
Attack on an energy facility.
During the night-time strike on Ternopil, Russian drones destroyed an energy infrastructure facility, leaving the city without electricity.
This was reported by the Mayor of Ternopil Serhiy Nadail.
"There were issues with water supply, heating, and sewage. Now, electricity has been partially restored in the city. Some areas are running on backup generators. Energy workers are continuing to work on restoring the power supply. Communal services ensured the operation of sewage and water supply networks using backup generators throughout the night. Heating is now being supplied through centralized heating from some of the boiler stations," Serhiy Nadail said.
Meanwhile, Head of the Ternopil Regional Military Administration, Vyacheslav Nehoda, reported that during the night attack, air defense forces managed to shoot down three UAVs. Other drones could not be intercepted and hit their targets.
According to him, an energy facility that supplies electricity to almost the entire region was hit. Additionally, the city had been heavily dependent on this facility for power.
