Russia struck energy facilities in a region
Power outages have occurred due to the Russian shelling.

On the night of Tuesday, September 17, the Russian army attacked energy facilities in Sumy region. Power outages occurred in the region, as well as in the neighboring Chernihiv region.
This was reported by the press service of NEC "Ukrenergo".
"Last night, the enemy targeted energy facilities in Sumy region. As a result, by morning, Sumy city and parts of Sumy and Chernihiv regions were left without electricity," the company stated.
Currently, energy workers are working to repair the damage. "Ukrenergo" announced that power supply should be restored by evening.
It is also noted that due to ongoing hostilities and other reasons, 975 settlements in Sumy, Donetsk, Chernihiv, Kherson and Kharkiv regions are without power supply. Additionally, over 50 settlements are experiencing power outages due to weather-related issues, primarily in Khmelnytskyi region.
