The Russian artillery attacks caused the ammonia released in Donetsk Region. The ammonia cloud is now moving above the ground from Travneve village towards Bakhmut, according to Pavlo Kyrylenko, the Head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration.

“This pipeline branch has not been in use since 2014, all shut-off valves are closed, but still we have the spontaneous ammonia release. The local authorities have instructed the population to follow the necessary precautions. The damaged pipeline was examined by the first responders, who confirmed that the 7,5-kilometer-long pipeline sections contains around 260 tons of ammonia. Nevertheless, the leakage appears to be relatively minor, and the area of ammonia cloud’s potential effect is approximately 4 kilometers only.  

No information about the casualties has been yet reported.
