Russian Invaders Forcibly Recruit Ukrainian Medics at Gunpoint

Those who refused are threatened with summary execution, the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine reports.

The invaders also have started recruitment of the local young male population in the occupied districts of Kherson, Zaporizhzhia and Kharkiv regions.

In order to prevent failure of the recruitment campaign, the invaders have sealed off the borders between the occupied part of Kherson Region and the territory controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The exit to the Russian Federation was also restricted.

In Zaporizhzhia Region, the Russian troops and FSB agents are looking for young males of conscription age. Based on the available data, Russians are planning to use the new recruits to replace of personnel of Russian units that suffered the worst losses in the active combat zone. The recruitment campaign is conducted despite the prevailing pro-Ukrainian sentiments of local population and general public willingness to resist the Russian invaders.
