Most of the destroyed objects were found in Donetsk, Kyiv and Kharkiv regions.

Since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion, at least 116 religious buildings the occupiers were destroyed in Ukraine. This was announced by the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Lyudmila Denisova.

In particular, Russian invaders destroyed 91 Orthodox churches. Mosques, synagogues, Catholic and Protestant churches, religious educational institutions and important administrative buildings of religious organizations were also destroyed.

On the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation, the Russian army completely destroyed the St. George’s Hermitage of the Holy Dormition Svyatogorsk Lavra in the Donetsk region with a missile target. The walls and ceilings of the Lavra building were completely destroyed, as well as the facades of other modern hermitage structures.

"Deliberate attacks that have damaged or destroyed religious buildings and historical monuments are war crimes under the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court and Articles 4 and 5 of the Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict," Denisova said.
