Ukrainian soldiers control the situation in the Toretsk area of Donetsk region. The Russian occupiers have not achieved any territorial gains. The fighting continues.
This information was reported to "Interfax-Ukraine" by Nazar Voloshyn, Spokesman for the Operational-Strategic Grouping of Troops "Khortytsia."
"Ukrainian Defense Forces control the situation around the city of Toretsk. It should be noted and emphasized that as of this moment, the enemy has not had any territorial successes, and the Russian army is not in the city," Voloshyn said.
According to him, the occupiers try to exert pressure on this section of the front. Active combat continues there daily, particularly on the approaches to the city's outskirts.
At the same time, the Russian army wants to capture the city despite significant losses in personnel and equipment. The enemy is looking for weak spots in the Ukrainian defense, sending mobilized personnel and former prisoners on assaults.
"There are also "storm z" and "storm v" units, which operate as assault units and are often used to detect positions or clear the territory. The occupiers conduct many so-called "meat assaults" with mobile fire groups," the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.
The military criminals bombard Toretsk with various types of weapons.
"Although the enemy tries to intensify its efforts on certain sections of the front and improve its tactical position, our defenders continue to resolutely counter the enemy's attempts to advance into Ukraine's territory, focusing their efforts on disrupting the occupiers' offensive tasks," the "Khortytsia" Operational-Strategic Grouping of Troops noted.
