The Russians struck Toretsk and Zarichne: casualties reported

The Prosecutor's Office is investigating the type of weapons used during the shelling.

On August 19, Russian forces shelled the town of Toretsk and the village of Zarichne in Donetsk region, resulting in the deaths of four local residents.

This was reported by the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office. 

In Toretsk, the Russian occupiers used artillery against civilians, causing the death of a 71-year-old woman due to shrapnel wounds. In Zarichne, three people aged 61 to 72 - a man and a married couple - were killed in the shelling of a residential area. The Prosecutor's Office is still determining the type of weaponry used during the second shelling. A pre-trial investigation has been initiated under the article on violations of the laws and customs of war.
