Vereshchuk Addressed the Russian Leadership: Open Humanitarian Route from Mariupol Immediately

Ukraine urges the military and political leadership of the Russian Federation to open the humanitarian route from Mariupol to Berdiansk for evacuation of civilians.
This statement was made by Iryna Vereshchuk, the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and the Minister of Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories.
"Due to escalation of the situation in Mariupol, I want to address the military and political leadership of the Russian Federation: we demand immediate opening of the humanitarian route from Mariupol to Berdiansk for evacuation of civilians", she stated.
Ukraine also calls for “urgent humanitarian route from the territory of Azovstal plant for women, children and other civilians”.
"Your refusal to open the above-mentioned humanitarian routes will be subsequently used as the legal basis for criminal prosecution of all persons responsible for committed war crimes”, Vereshchuk emphasized.
