This summer alone, Russians have launched over 2,000 attacks on the Sumy region, using missiles, artillery, guided bombs, attack drones and mortars.

This was reported by Ukraine's Minister of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko.

Due to the constant Russian terror, the population of 183 settlements in 15 territorial communities of Sumy region is subject to priority evacuation. Over 20,000 people have already been evacuated, including nearly 2,500 children.

The creation of a buffer zone in Kursk region is a step aimed at protecting our border communities from daily enemy shelling.

"Residents of settlements in the defense operation zone have been left by Russia without the most basic necessities. Now, the military is providing the Ministry of Internal Affairs with information on the needs for local supplies of drinking water, food, medicine and hygiene products, so that in coordination with other relevant bodies, we can quickly organize humanitarian aid," Klymenko noted.
