Invaders First Used Long-Range Tu-22M3 Jets to Bomb Mariupol 

For the first time after the start of the full-scale invasion into Ukraine, the invaders used the long-range Tu-22M3 jets to bomb Mariupol, as Oleksandr Motuzniak, the Speaker of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, reported during his briefing.

"The enemy continues to concentrate its efforts on preparation of offensive operation in the Eastern part of Ukraine in order to take under control the districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions and secure the land corridor to occupied Crimea”, he said.

“Currently, Russia is finishing the formation of offensive forces in the Eastern Operational Area”, Motuzniak added.

According to him, Putin’s troops continue to engage the Ukrainian Armed Forces along several axes. The highest enemy activity is observed in Slobozhanskyi and Donetskyi operational districts, while in Pivdennobuzkyi operational district, the primary purpose of enemy troops is to improve their tactical positions.
