It is too late for Putin to “save face” as certain partners imply – Reznikov

“Let’s defeat the enemy together”: Oleksiy Reznikov discussed further support for the armed forces of Ukraine with Bundestag members.

It is too late for Putin to “save face”, despite what certain partners still continue to imply.

The Minister of Defence of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov said this during a meeting with a group of German representatives from the CSU/CDU faction, including the acting head of the Bundestag foreign affairs committee, Thomas Erndl during his visit to Kyiv.

“After the atrocities and crimes in Bucha, Borodyanka, Irpin, Mariupol… we are defending our lands, fighting for freedom, and protecting the entire continent of Europe. Let’s just defeat the enemy together”, - said Oleksiy Reznikov.

The minister pointed out that our country has already received “PzH-2000” self-propelled howitzers from Germany and the Netherlands. Germany has further provided Ukraine with anti-tank complexes, man-portable air defence systems, cars and trucks, medical equipment as well as personal defence equipment for soldiers. “We have made certain progress. However, we are interested in further cooperation to send weapons and vehicles from your country faster. This would strengthen our defensive forces”, - stated Reznikov.
The Minister of Defence of Ukraine said that the enemy has lost over 30 000 soldiers in Ukraine, and a further 90 000 have been wounded. “There are many missing. The Russian government labels many of the occupiers “missing” to avoid paying compensation to the relatives”, he added.

Reznikov pointed out that the aggressor is attempting to push forward to the administrative borders of the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, in addition to trying to hold the land corridor to the occupied Crimea and blocking Ukrainian maritime communications in the Black Sea. “In turn, the territory of Belarus is being used to launch missiles into Ukraine. We are doing everything possible to defend all potentially dangerous areas”, - said the minister.

We remind that the commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhnyi discussed the liberation of Ukraine from the occupiers with general Milley.
