The spokesman for the Operational Command “South”, Vladyslav Nazarov, provided details about the massive rocket attack on the Odesa region.
"At night, the enraged enemy hit the south of Ukraine with a powerful accumulation of missiles and kamikaze drones. Without leaving the bay in Sevastopol, one of their surface missile carriers joined the attack using 'Kalibr' missiles. Our air defense forces destroyed 12 out of 12," the message says.
During the night, the Russian occupiers used a coastal missile system from the annexed Crimea and hit Odesa region with "Onyx" missiles. In addition, strategic aviation struck with X-59, X-22 missiles.
Simultaneously with the missile attack, the Russians also attacked the southern region with "Shahed-136" drones.
According to Nazarov, the air defense forces successfully intercepted an X-59 missile approaching the shore. However, it fell in one of the neighborhoods of Odesa, creating a large crater. The blast wave damaged several surrounding buildings, and three civilians were injured.
“Onyx” and X-22 missiles were directed by the Russian army at port and critical infrastructure. The grain and oil terminal were hit. Tanks and loading equipment were damaged as a result of the missile strike. A fire broke out at the impact site. No information about victims has been reported yet.
It is noted that an industrial facility was hit in the Odesa region. As a result of the strike, a civilian employee was injured. In addition, two warehouses with tobacco and fireworks were damaged in different locations.

Eight "Shahed" kamikaze drones were shot down in the sky over Odesa region.
The representative of the Operational Command “South” reported that as a result of the destruction of missiles and drones, a blast wave damaged several apartment buildings in the residential complexes of Odesa. At least six residents of Odesa, including a 9-year-old boy, sought medical assistance. The victims were injured by fragments of glass and other objects.
