Reznikov Said that New Russian Offensive Is Expected in Spring
According to him, Moscow may try to accumulate "forces" for another offensive.
In his interview for the BBC, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov said that in spring Russians might attack from the areas it has already seized in the south and east of Ukraine.
"Spring is the best period to refresh the movement for all sides... We understand they'll be ready to start and, surely, we have to be ready to start", the Minister said.
He believed Russia could be trying to gather "forces, ammunition and weapons" for another offensive. However, Reznikov did not repeat a claim that Russia could be preparing another invasion from Belarus. The movement from the north would take a lot of time and Russia has no resources, he believes.
" This concern about the next level of escalation, for me, is some kind of protocol", Mr. Reznikov said.
Meanwhile, Ukraine need time to regroup and rearm, while the AFU still wait for Western weapon supplies.
