Russia Has Started to Bomb Ukraine with Short-Range Missiles: Expert Explains the Reasons
Russia is facing problems with firepower.
The Russian terrorist army is now launching X-59, X-101 and Kalibr missiles less frequently, as the invaders have an acute shortage of long-range aircraft missiles, as military and political observer Oleksandr Kovalenko wrote his Telegram post.
According to him, Russian air forces are increasingly using X-29 and X-25 missiles to bomb Ukraine in an attempt to compensate for the shortage of tactical and tactical missiles. These missiles have a short range of 10 to 30 kilometers.
"Ka-52 attack helicopters and Su-25 attack aircraft are now performing exactly the functions that were previously assigned to artillery. However, problems with firepower, namely the lack of tactical missiles and operational tactical missiles, force the Russians to engage other types of aircraft to perform high-risk combat missions. As you know, the shortage of tactical missiles and operational tactical missiles has forced the Russians to start using S-300 air defense systems to attack surface targets instead of air targets since late spring last year. Since terror is terror, and what are the units on the front line to do in the absence of the necessary support from tactical missiles and operational tactical missiles? So they are using X-29 and X-25 missiles, which have a short range of 10 to 30 kilometers. This means that the aircraft that launches them is in the zone of potential risk of being hit by an air defense systems or MANPADS," Kovalenko explained.
