The fiercest battles on the front lines are taking place in four directions: Pokrovsk, Toretsk, Kramatorsk and Kurakhove.

This was stated by military expert and former General Staff spokesman (2014–2017) Vladyslav Seleznyov, as reported by FREEDОМ.

"The enemy is trying to exert pressure everywhere, hoping that somewhere the Ukrainian defense will not hold. Accordingly, where we show weakness, Russia will direct the remnants of its resources, including redeploying them from other sections of the front. We've seen these tactics before. For example, not so long ago, the enemy moved its resources from Donetsk direction to Belgorod region, and now they are trying to conduct offensive actions from there in the north of Kharkiv region," he said.

According to the expert, there is currently no calm section along the entire front line.

Seleznyov believes that Russia is hurrying to fully occupy Donetsk and Luhansk regions by the end of the summer offensive campaign.

"But to maximally disperse Ukrainian strategic reserves and resources, the enemy is intensifying its activity both in the north of Kharkiv region and in the south of Zaporizhzhia region. They hope to outwit the Ukrainian Defense Forces and achieve success precisely in those sections of the front that are extremely important to them," the expert explained.

Seleznyov points out that in recent weeks, the Russians have been using dozens, almost up to a hundred guided aerial bombs to strike at the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

"On one hand, we need to clearly understand that no field fortifications can withstand a direct hit from such strikes. On the other hand, it's important to understand that the conditions and prerequisites for parity on the battlefield will only be created by our Defense Forces receiving additional air and missile defense capabilities," the expert concluded.
