Russia May Use Missile Strike for Offensive Operation — Military Expert

He also stressed that the Russians will look for any scenarios to get to any point of negotiations beneficial for them.

Massive missile strikes against Ukrainian infrastructure may be used in the future to support potential offensive operations in new direction, so the country goes into blackout at the beginning of another ground campaign, military expert Petro Chernyk assumed during the national TV marathon.

"Anything may happen, so we have to consider any potential scenarios and get ready for them. The earlier we analyze numerous threatening scenarios and get ourselves prepared, the easier it will be for us later. Absolutely anything is possible. We shouldn’t assume that the enemy would not attack”, the expert stressed.

According to him, the military leadership was taken all reasonable steps to enhance defence at the northern Ukrainian border.

Chernyk believes that this war is existential for Russians, since if they suffer a classical military defeat, Putin will likely lose his life, and the Russian Federation will step on the road towards disintegration.
