The Russian army uses worsening weather conditions for air attacks on Ukraine. After all, high cloud cover hinders the aiming of Ukrainian defenders.

This statement was made by Yuriy Ignat, the Spokesperson for the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, during a telethon broadcast.

According to Ignat, the occupiers deliberately exploit the dark hours of the day and the "whims of the weather." Ignat emphasizes that "weather affects any objects in the sky and the operations of manned aviation."

"The enemy, perhaps, intended to take advantage of the whims of the weather. Cloudiness complicates the work of mobile firing groups, which need to see the object, see the aerial target in order to aim," explained the representative of the Armed Forces.

As for both guided missiles and "Shaheds," Ignat clarified that the weather doesn't have much of an impact. They follow their designated routes.

"If there is strong crosswind, freezing with temperature fluctuations, it can affect 'Shahed' drones that are launched through the Azov Sea. Currently, as we can see, the enemy is using them even in such weather conditions when there is both cloudiness and rain," added Ignat.
