Vira Khvust, a volunteer, disclosed a haunting story of her 29-year-old friend, Liuba. A young woman spent all her life in Kharkiv, where she cared for her sick mom. When the war started, Liuba could not evacuate, since no one agreed to take her disabled mother, who needed bed care during the last three years.
“A few days after the start of the war, when the enemy shell had already left a huge hole in her house, three creatures broke into Liuba’s apartment. I just can’t bring myself to call them humans… They took away all the food she had. Two of them went away, but one creature decided to stay. Liuba survived sexual assault. She couldn’t even call police, because the line was always busy. Then he just broke her phone. Liuba, my dear friend, whom I had never seen crying, dissolved in tears. This scumbag raped her again and again during a week. Then he suddenly confessed his great love to her and said that he wanted to bring her away to ‘a safer place’. Liuba refused. She said she couldn’t leave her sick mother. Then that peace of shit gunned down the disabled old lady just in front of the eyes of a young and tender woman”, the volunteer told.
Khvust added that currently Liuba has been evacuated and is on the way to a rehabilitation center, from where she fill further travel abroad.
