Ten Shell Hits: Russian Invaders Once Again Ceased Zaporizhzhia NPP

Russia continues to engage in the nuclear terrorism.

The invaders once again shelled Zaporizhzhia NPP and surrounding nuclear facilities, Enerhoatom reports.

"Today, on August 11th, 2022, the Russian troops once again shelled the largest nuclear facility in Ukraine and Europe – Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. We have documented at least five heats around the plant’s commandant's headquarters – in the immediate proximity of the welding section and radiation source storage. The shells set on fire the grass on the small area, but luckily there were no human casualties. Nevertheless, the enemy did not stop its reckless behavior”, the message reads.

Enerhoatom added that five more shells landed near the fire department located in the vicinity of the plant.

Due to the artillery attack, the plant management was unable to properly conduct staff rotation. The buses with personnel returned back to Enerhodar. The current shift will continue to operate the plant until the situation returns back to normal.

"The current situation at the plant is under control. The reports circulating on the enemy social media and claiming that Ukrainian staff is fleeing the plant in panic is nothing but manipulation and fake. Information is another weapon used by the enemy to attack ZNPP, so please trust only the official sources”, Enerhoatom emphasized.

Previously, Telegram channels were sharing information about potential fire and smoke rising over the nuclear power plant, including a video showing the clouds of smoke around ZNPP.
