Terekhov stated that the Russian army has destroyed practically all critical infrastructure in Kharkiv
The situation with energy is difficult in the city.
On the night of March 22, the Russians damaged an energy facility in Kharkiv and left the city without electricity
The Russian army destroyed practically all municipal and private energy infrastructure in Kharkiv during the full-scale invasion.
This was reported by Mayor Ihor Terekhov in an interview with LIGA.net.
According to him, new destructions appear every day. The enemy also destroys residential buildings. For example, there are practically no surviving high-rise buildings in Northern Saltivka.
"I don't know what the enemy's plan is. Almost the entire critical energy infrastructure has already been destroyed, and the private infrastructure has also been destroyed," Terekhov says.
The Mayor notes that the situation for the energy sector in the city is very difficult. In particular, during the missile attack on March 22, Russia destroyed all transformer substations and damaged the thermal power plant. There was a blackout in the city. Currently, there are hourly schedules for power outages in Kharkiv.
"However, no one is giving up. We have round-the-clock Points of Invincibility. 28 thousand Kharkiv residents came there during the two days of the last blackout after shelling. People are fed for free in schools. Over the past year, 10 million meals have been distributed. We have survived tougher times, and we will survive this," Terekhov emphasized.
