The Armed Forces of Ukraine explained why Russia uses “Zircon” missiles 

Russia attack Ukraine with hypersonic "Zircon" missiles. Thus, the enemy effectively tests this weapon under combat conditions. 

This was stated by Spokesperson of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major Ilya Yevlash, on the air of the telethon. 

"We know very little about this weapon. The enemy keeps its characteristics secret, and our experts are currently studying its features. This weapon is used by the enemy both as a test in combat conditions and to assess the capabilities of our air defense," he emphasized. 

Currently, only the "Patriot" anti-aircraft missile system can shoot down these missiles. It repeatedly proved its high efficiency not only with “Zircons”, but also with “Kinzhal” missiles. 

"It is extremely difficult to shoot it down (“Zircon”). It rapidly reaches any point in our country. Therefore, when an air raid alert is sounding, we advise immediately go to a shelter," Yevlash noted.
