Israel is surrounded by unfriendly nations, whereas Ukraine is located on the European continent.
Political consultant Dmytro Vasiliev said this on TSN.UA.
We need weapons and troops
Of course, we are surrounded by unfriendly countries - Russia and Belarus. At the same time, we are close to partner countries that are NATO members. Additionally, we have access to the Black Sea, which is also possessed by our partners and, unfortunately, Russia.
"To say that we should have the exact same security guarantees as Israel, probably not. I believe that the key guarantee should be the provision of all necessary weapons, such as aircraft and long-range missiles," Vasiliev believes.
It is necessary to increase the supply of weapons that will allow the Ukrainian Armed Forces to rapidly de-occupy Ukrainian territories. Moreover, after the war, the presence of troops from NATO member countries on our territory is mandatory. According to the political consultant, this will be a real guarantee that our partners will stand side by side with Ukraine.
