The West pays twice: Kuleba reprimanded for Russian attacks with weapons with Western components

The minister does not believe that the West lacks the ability to track and block schemes to circumvent the sanctions imposed against Russia.

Minister for Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba

Head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dmytro Kuleba stated that Western countries are not doing enough to stop the supply of their technologies to Russia.

The minister made these remarks during the "Ukrainian Breakfast" in Davos, as reported by ZN.ua.

In response to questions about Ukraine's plans for the coming months, Kuleba said, "We intend to fight and win."

At the same time, the minister added, there is another serious point that is important.

"Almost all weapons, the Russian missiles that we have shot down or intercepted in the last two years, which were manufactured in Russia, contain Western components. Some even say that 95% of modern Russian weapons come from the West," - the Head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

He explained that this is not because the sanctions are not working but because Russia has built sophisticated business schemes to circumvent these sanctions.

"The West has the best business intelligence in the world. I don't believe that the West lacks the ability to track these schemes and block them," Kuleba said.

He pointed out that in such a situation, Western countries have to pay twice. First, they pay by helping to rebuild Ukrainian cities destroyed by the enemy.

"And secondly, you pay with your reputation when Ukraine is destroyed by weapons that fly and shoot, because their components are your spare parts that reach Russia," the minister said.
