Ukraine Will Officially Ask Israel for Provision of Air Defence Systems – Kuleba
Ukraine will send an official note to the Israeli government.
On Tuesday, October 18th, Ukraine will officially address Israel with a request to start supplies of air defence systems, as Dmytro Kuleba, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, said during his briefing.
According to Kuleba, today Ukraine will send an official note to the government of Israel with a request to urgently provide Ukraine with anti-aircraft systems and to start high-quality cooperation on obtaining appropriate technologies for Ukraine.
"We don’t see any objective reasons why this (cooperation with Israel in the air defence field) should not happen. Iran is a red line for Israel, and after Iran has directly, in fact, become complicit in the crime of aggression against Ukraine, I think anyone in Israel who still has any hesitation about whether or not to help Ukraine, he must dispel these hesitations. We will work on it together with the Israeli partners”, Kuleba emphasized.
According to him, if Israel’s policy is to counteract Iran, then it is a perfect time to openly support Ukraine.
The Minister also addressed the United States and the EU with the similar request to provide the air defense systems.
