Ukrainian Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov states that the United States will continue to provide security assistance to the country, and NATO will take on more commitments to support it.

The Minister made this statement during a joint address with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte on February 13.

“We see that all allies support us. The U.S. will continue its security assistance. NATO is taking on our support in the areas of security and training, so this is already in process. It’s decided. We are grateful to NATO and its leadership,” Umerov said.

He noted that at this stage, the main message is that “we continue. We are strong. We are capable. We can. We will ensure this.”

The Minister of Defense expressed gratitude to all countries, nations, and leadership for their security and comprehensive support for Ukraine.

For his part, Rutte expressed confidence in the necessity of continuing military assistance to Ukraine, particularly to strengthen Kyiv's position in future peace negotiations.
