According to Hetman, Vuhledar is an important town for the Russian Federation, and the invaders will try to capture it.

The Russian occupiers will attempt to seize Vuhledar because of its strategic elevation, from which observation can be conducted.

This was stated by a military expert, Reserve Major Oleksiy Hetman, "Espresso" reports.

He reminded that the occupiers tried to attack Vuhledar before, but it ended unsuccessfully.

"Now, from the north of Vuhledar and the south of Maryinka, they are trying to advance in order to flank and somehow capture Vuhledar. For them, it is a very important town situated on a dominant height. Therefore, it offers new logistical opportunities for the Russians, and it is a height from which observation and more effective artillery fire can be conducted. That's why they will be advancing there," the expert said.

In his opinion, the Russians may not be able to launch an offensive along the entire front line with equal intensity, but here and there, they will try to conduct offensive actions. In particular, Hetman highlighted:

  • the Vuhledar direction;

  • the Kupiansk direction and Kupiansk-Vuzlovy;

  • Chasiv Yar, and Kostiantynivka.

Near Avdiivka, the occupiers will try to encircle it. There will also be hostile army actions near Maryinka. The Russians will likely try to advance from Maryinka south towards Vuhledar," the expert noted.

He emphasized that our military leadership had visited the Kupiansk direction.

"It was announced that there would be certain unpleasant surprises for the Russians. Perhaps that's why commanders, the Chief of Staff, and the Minister of Defense visited that area," Hetman concluded.
