President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded to reports about Hungary’s use of reconnaissance drones in Ukrainian territory, calling such actions “very dangerous.”
He made this statement during a briefing following his visit to the United States on Saturday, September 27.
Danger for Budapest
Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine is aware of what specific information Hungarian intelligence is collecting on its territory and considers such activity threatening.
“It is very important what the Hungarian intelligence is studying on the territory of Ukraine. I basically understand what. And I believe they are doing very dangerous things. Very dangerous things, first and foremost for themselves,” the President said.
He did not specify what consequences Hungary might face.
“Mirror” measures and U.S. support
Earlier during the same briefing, Zelenskyy denied rumors that the United States is scaling back its diplomatic support for Ukraine. The President noted that joint work between Kyiv and Washington continues actively.
